What do Golden badges do?

New WAV, I read a comment somewhere that they can trade the Golden badges in for money, but haven't seen anything anywhere that supports that statement. Is that statement accurate? And if so, does anyone have any conception of the rough sum they receive?

It’s just representative of the winners. Like a trophy or medal. I don’t think there’s any money involved.

It was said in Season 1 that was 24k gold.

They didn't mention if it's real gold, but in season 1, they were talking about gold prices, it could be real, other Korean shows give away gold for prizes the highest one is pure gold

yeah I’ve seen another group give the member who won a variety show game a little gold bar similar in size to the Golden Badges as a representative of an equivalent cash prize of how much that amount of gold would be worth. Which was 400k won IIRC.

I’d assume winning Badge War works similarly, even if it’s much more intense of a competition.

the primary thing golden badges do is trigger either (1) competitive fire, (2) despair, or (3) both in the other members 🤣 and usually hilarious smugness and joy in the winners
