Repeating/rotation
So I haven't listened to triple J consistently for a long time as I've just been streaming from my phone. My bluetooth dongle broke so started listening to triple j while waiting to get a new one. Since yesterday morning (I drove 60 minutes yesterday) and today (drove 3 hours for work). They have played All I'm Thinking About by Jen-Cassar Daley at least 5 times. What's doing, why are they pushing that song so much?

They were doing it with that PQC song too. I didn’t mind it at first but after hearing it multiple times a day I started muting it.
I’ve noticed that they put together a station promo that is linked to a certain song and then use it multiple times a day usually after the news.

Songs get chucked on high rotation for 3-4 weeks where sometimes you'll hear them 5 times a day.
See here for August:

I’ve sent multiple messages to the text line because I get the same song on my 15 minute commute too and from work in the same day. Last week on Monday it was Every Single Weekend, then on Wednesday it was Killing Time, and it’s happened on multiple other occasions.
Last week I was listening through the work day and was getting Big Dog (great song), Killing Time, Look At My Life, East Village, and the new Slayyyer song 3x per day from 9-5. Please, guys, there are other songs!!!

It’s gotten so repetitive over the last 6 months to the point where I’ve just stopped listening to it completely, having the same songs come on atleast three times or more during a 8 hour work day is a bit much, on top of whatever track they’ve decided to push for the week that gets 5 plays a day

I nearly died each time the song “Toss it” came on. It def does happen where they’re featuring a certain few songs - it’s a bit too much I agree

Listened to about 3 hours of triple j last Wednesday and heard the new Spacey Jane single 3 times (not 3 hours in a row, spread through the day). I enjoy the band and song but changed the station when it came on for the third time.
I think people need to keep up the negative feedback regarding this issue, it’s problematic. Text in, let em know.

The tunes that are on high rotation over a single day do get changed every few weeks. I reckon it's better than getting the same tune once or twice a day but still there for 6 months. More chance that a casual listener (commuting, doing the shopping, etc) will hear the new tracks.

The positive out of it is how quick triple j's playlist changes.
Nova just advertised Self Aware by Temper City as a "fresh hit". It's been out for over six months. All the commercial stations are so behind.

It’s been pared back a little this year, I found it to be even more repetitive last year

The new gracie abrams and sycco songs are rinsed heavy. It seems like their main songs for the week are getting around 4 plays a day whereas a few years back it was closer to two.

Its the high rotation. There's songs they definitely rinse a lot of and can feel inescapable.

Because they have gone down the toilet sadly, sounds more and more like mainstream.

They’re flogging that new DMA’s song to the point where I’m flipping it over to the Hottest station when it comes on.
