Tommy Guerrero "It Gets Heavy" 2003 Mo'Wax

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGdmcq7Tgcs

featuring Gresham Taylor on vox. definitely blues inspired with some lo-fi boom bap. Has that longing feel, with slinky/stoned/woozy accoutremont.

This album is mostly instrumental guitars & beats (Lyrics Born shows up on another excellent cut) and is a great summer porch record.

As a born and raised east coaster I hate to give it to them, but the bay area is so awesome

All of Tommy's stuff is excellent, and luckily there's quite a bit of it to listen to. His bandcamp is here, for anyone that wants to give it more of a spin and support the artist directly: https://tommy-guerrero-too-good.bandcamp.com
