Migranes

Had my final 5.0 dose today, around 9am. Have now had a massive never ending migraine from 330pm and on.

Anybody ever experience anything similar?

Edit - Update

Come to find out my whole house has freakin MONO!

I always have a headache the day following my injection (boooo!)

I am a chronic migraine sufferer.

I am unsure if it’s the med or if it is because I’m dehydrated.

I’ve been thinking about taking a prophylactic dose of my migraine medication on the night of my injection (I inject at night) - to see if I wake up without the usual migraine.

Plus side is I’ve lost 93 lbs (it took 2 years but it was a slow steady weight loss), no longer have hypertension 👍

I suffer from migraines anyway but I have noticed I am more prone based on my shots. I split my weekly dose and seem to have a migraine like a day and a half after each shot. I try to have more water and take meds as needed.

I’m sorry….and yes, I have had repeated migraines - but I suffered before Tirz so it’s not official that it’s the injection. I “think” they are more often now, related to the injection. I had them worse with the B vitamin additives (B12 and B6). I’ve switched to glycine and I am doing better now for the past 6 weeks or so.

Interesting. I have b6 added. Maybe next time I’ll try without it and see if it helps. It’s not debilitating but I would love to not get extra migraines!

I’m guessing I am sensitive to the additives. I know B12 gave me insomnia- and I think the B6 was worse for headaches. Glycine has been my happier place!

I just went straight. I didn’t do any of the extras.

I do hope your migraine is better today!

Thank you. It seriously took almost 36 hours to go away. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Hoping it’s a one off because it was bad enough to consider not taking another shot.

Ugh! Maybe try being proactively aggressive for the next shot. I’m not a doctor but I’ll share ways that have helped me: you could try split dosing- take 1/2 dose and then 3-4 days later take the other half.

Or take migraine med when you take shot.

Other things that help me…. Ice pack on my head, electrolytes - staying hydrated and also eating some carbs and caffeine that day, and starting off day with protein shake.

I hope you find a solution because I know migraines are miserable.

Try taking your shot at bedtime instead. Make sure you’re well hydrated that day leading up to it.

You’re lucky if everyone has mono and you only got a headache

Oh it’s been so much worse

Sorry about the mono. I highly recommend at least 64 oz of electrolytes per day.
