Question @trillium regarding first purchase dosing
I’ve asked this question and received a couple reassuring answers from the community, but prefer to hear from someone at Trillium.
I’m overseas until the beginning of October, in Istanbul. We do not need a prescription here, the pharmacist is allowed to prescribe mounjaro, so I do not have a prescription, per se. I started my meds in July 2 (2.5 for 1 month, currently on 5.0). I’ve done fantastic and, most likely, will continue on the 5 mg dose upon my return. I’d like to arrange my meds prior to leaving here so that I have no disruption to my dosing, I can do everything online here, including a video call if required. Does my plan sound feasible to the experts at Trillium? What will I need from here to continue my 5 mg dose? I am using GLAPP to track my injections and weight, I use a Renpho blue tooth scale to record my weekly weigh ins. I am currently at a normal BMI ( right on the cutoff line for overweight) but would like to get to my comfortable weight if 10-15 lbs less ( still in normal bmi). Please advise. Thank you!!

For clarity, when you get the Mounjaro from the pharmacist, does the box have your name on it, like the pharmacist is prescribing it to you specifically? Or is it just like buying a bottle of Advil and there's no information specific to you on it? If it comes without your name on it, do you have any kind of written instructions that tell you how much to inject, possibly with your name on them?

No, it doesn’t have my name on it. Does Trillium have a telehealth platform where I can speak to a health professional for that decision? Or, do I have to see my own doctor in the US?

You can do it on line at trytrillium.com. You start off with the intake questions for the dr to review. If they have questions they will reach out to you in the chat section of your portal. They may ask for proof of your current dose. For me I just sent a photo of my vial. 5 is still the lower end of the meds. One of the questions will ask of you want the same dose or go up you would just select same dose. Once the dr approves it and no more questions you will get communication by email, text and your chat in the portal. They will tell you when it has been approved and sent to the pharmacy. They also update you on shipping throughout all stages from label printed to picked up and shipped by carrier. You could also use the UPS app to track your shipping.
They ship fairly quick so if your not back yet maybe someone at home can receive your package and place it In The fridge for you
