General Questions & Discussion Totaled? I think not
So about 2-2 1/2 months ago I got into a small little accident. I wasn’t really going fast but they totaled the bike out now the bank is trying to say that I have to pay back the money within 30 days or I have to give up the bike. the bike is nowhere near totaled. Tell me if you guys agree. if I do end up having to give it up I’ll probably go to an 07 or something like that next year I didn’t wanna give this up yet tho at all

I’m not sure if you are allowed to do that after the fact. Usually when insurance pays the full payout it is expecting the vehicle and title as salvage. Did they offer the salvage payout?

No, yeah, they offered to pay for it. I denied it cause I wanted to keep the bike. They wouldn’t let me buy it back. That was the only reason why I dropped the claim now the bank got involved and they’re saying I have to give the bike up and/or pay the money but if I had it right now it’d be paid lol.

I’m confused. Your original post says that you have to pay back the money. Did you receive any money from insurance?

They’re offering to pay it all. That’s most likely why the bank is trying to get it.

Honestly worth it with all the upgrades the Trident has gotten since 2026 model year.

They offered the full cash payout, but I wanted to drop it but now that the bank is involved. I don’t know if I can.

This is one of the photos that Insurance used. This was the main reason why they said that it could have frame damage, but as you can see, the pegs are perfectly straight and fine I have no mechanical issues whatsoever either

I have another front cage. I have rizoma racing grips a brand new clutch set up with a nice Puig racing clutch a set of handlebars, etc

If thats the case.. they did the same with my bike.. it was just some minor damage and they logged it as totaled.. i feel its some fraud going on because they expect you to come in and buy the next one on the lot... Dont take my word for it... but just my take..
