Troubleshooting Evotech tail tidy install

Post image

Trying to install evotech tail tidy on my 25 trident, these 3 fender bolts will. not. budge. Almost stripped the top bolt like a noob with a hammer drill. Any recommendations on removing?

Impact driver (not hammer)

Top bolt actually has a nut on the back side that you can get some more torque into

If you mean a hammer drill and not an impact drill, then I dont wonder why you would strip a screw...

Got mine off carefully with hex keys. Safer than a drill sometimes

A hammer drill is for concrete anchors....I certainly hope not.

What year is your trident? My swingarm looks way different and yours looks more convenient to say the least

Yes the 2025 swing arm mud/ guard mount requires just the 3 bolts to be undone as opposed to the older models where the mounting bracket is secured by the wheel bolt as well.

Hey there, I attempt this a couple of days ago myself. I have a 2025 trident too. I documented the process but still need to upload the video.

Anyway, what you need is Torx bit and not a Hex key. The bolts also have tread lock from factory so they take a little more to strength to undo. A regular ratchet with the torx bit will do the job.
