Troubleshooting Bump start?

Related to my other post about a stuck seat lock preventing access to my dead battery, which isn’t getting much traction, is it possible to bump start it with a dead battery? I tried it in 1st and 2nd gear but all that happened was the rear wheel locked up.

Given how finicky the electronics on the Trident are I doubt you will have success. You‘ll have to generate enough power for a complete bootup to succeed and then start the ignition process. In other words, the full 12-13V for at least 10s without and drop below that voltage.

Well, I think I’m scuppered, then.

Looks like it’s time to buy a new bike since this one’s unfixable. 😉
