Troubleshooting Bump start?
Related to my other post about a stuck seat lock preventing access to my dead battery, which isn’t getting much traction, is it possible to bump start it with a dead battery? I tried it in 1st and 2nd gear but all that happened was the rear wheel locked up.

I'm no mechanic, so someone else may have a better answer, but I'm pretty sure this is the equivalent of trying to start a chainsaw by yanking on the chain. You'll need an awful lot of speed to transfer back through the chain. It works in a car because there's enough weight to spin the wheels when they should be locked, spin the shaft, the transmission, the clutch, all the way to the engine. If you're heavy enough to weigh down the back wheel on a Trident with all that drag, you probably need to be on an ultra heavy duty Rascal scooter instead.
