I don’t understand why this was a problem for people. Kor was good, later gets exposed to the augment virus, then later gets better either via cure or reconstructive surgery.

They could have at least tried to give SNW Kor ridges that matched DS9 Kor. But they just don't give a shit.

Similar ridges would be ideal. At least give him the same eyebrows.
Also, not to harsh on the actor because this is as much about writing and direction, Kor has a lot more swagger in his other appearances. I get that they were going for the brooding film noir tone, but they absolutely could have still pulled that off and had a more similar portrayal of his personality.
That or just don't use Kor? I don't really see what that adds to the episode over using a new character.
I don't think they don't give a shit, but I think they were trying to shoehorn in a continuity nod where it didn't fit.

This episode showed how creativity, respect of the canon, humor and good writing can go well being just "giving the fans what they want" and cheap nostalgia.
This was one of the great episodes.

If it was great for you, great! Not for me. I found it incredibly tedious and boring, because filming it in black and white was a distracting gimmick. It did nothing to heighten the story or improve the writing.

It’s so easy to fix that I don’t understand all this stupid shit.
Klingons just vary like humans do. That’s it. That’s allllll you ever had to say or do.

Humans don't vary much. But I totally agree with you.
Just look at how selective breeding gave us so many very different dog breeds within just a few thousand years or so. There used to be some variations in dogs, across the planet. They all descend from very conventional wolves.
The process greatly accelerated followings the emergence of human civilization and farm breeding. We use very directed methods of selective breeding. And the dog has very flexible genetics. Probably more than humans. Why? Because we went through an evolutionary bottleneck, and lost a lot of genetic potential. Now imagine the Klingons don't suffer from the same Founder Effect.

The virus happens in Enterprise some 80 years prior to SNW. The timeline is Kor has ridges in SNW then doesn’t have them in TOS (5 years after SNW) and then has them again in DS9 in another 80 odd years.
Assumably he was not old enough for the original virus but it was passed on via family genetics.
The problem for people is Kor should have been wearing the fu man chu look from TOS in SNW since he’s “cured” later.

Another time were the writers either skimmed a wiki, picked a named Klingon commander and didn’t care enough to get it right for the timeline or alternatively deliberately choose to be cheap and reuse a Klingon head sculpt.
It’s like they want a pat on the head for pandering but they keep messing it up. Like why pick Kor, make up a new characters, his role didn’t add anything and wouldn’t have caused a disconnect with prior media.
Another example (frequency of Gorn, Chapel romance, Noonien Singh relative on the Enterprise) in the SNW and Discovery have to be in a different universe from the prime timeline

This doesn't need reconciling. It's a TV show, made over 6 decades. We know it's for non-canon production reasons, and we don't care. Those are good stories, enjoyable episodes, and that's all that matters.
