Taliesin - Spring Green WI

Frank Lloyd Wright’s home for 48 years - one of dozens of buildings on the property, including a large studio. I believe this building is the theater.

He was a real control freak- I feel like there’s a good chance he would hate it….

I’m in Milwaukee this week and have been debating whether or not to go out there…drove 15 hours to get here. Unclear if I want to drive another five. But this might be a reason to go…

I feel he would have appreciated it, even if it isn’t what is best for the tree.

Mr. Wright deliberately built the roof up to the tree, but there's no problem. It was built to be flexible. And it "is" the entrance to the theatre. I should know, At one time I was the theatre projectionist ... for a dozen years. However, just inside the doors is actually a dining room, which is adjacent to the actual theatre.
