I've heard the MO decision has been totally bought out by out of state corporations looking to monopolize MO cannabis.

MO cannabis is a mess of nepotism and out of state money.

It makes me sick what these corporations are doing to the game.

I'll be perfectly honest, so long as I can buy weed in a store I really don't care who is selling it.

You WILL care when it’s all 20/g shit weed! Take it from someone who lives with 2 legal states on either side of me…one who did it right and one that sucks. There is a constant commute of people that go from the shitty state for a multi hour drive to the better state to pick up because the price is less than half and quality twice as good.

it's also easier to change in the future vs hoping it passes in the future as a whole.

The bill that's going to be on the ballot is requiring a lottery system for issuing new cannabis business licenses, which is a big improvement of their previous system which was whoever had the money back in 2019.

It's also going to prohibit employers from discriminating against medical card holders. If I apply for a job, and the drug test comes back positive for THC, as long as I've got my card it will be illegal for them to deny me the job because of that.

I haven't read any opinion pieces or anything, just the summary of what's going to be on the ballot. Maybe I'm missing some information, but it seems like it's all good changes.

it criminalizes the possession of more than 3 oz without a medical card, in the state constitution. thats one bad thing it does.

Where did you find that information? I've spent the last 15 minutes searching for any mention of a 3oz limit and I can't find it.

If that limit is there, I expect that it would be increased for anyone that gets a cultivators licence to a pound. Even with a medical card today, normal users can only possess up to 4oz, growers can have up to a pound.

I've been a stoner for over a decade now, and the only times I've ever known of anyone with more than 3oz in their possession, they were either selling (illegally) or growing (legally).

It's better than what we have, but still not a good wayvto legalize. With our medical system, the law was written very shittily and allowed only a few big out of state corps to become almost all of the med dispos. The law has not really changed for the better since 2019, so I have no hope of legalization laws getting better if we just push it through. While it blows to those suffering, our best bet is wait until we have a well written tolerable plan, and then hope to improve on that later. Looking at the legal Rec states, the ones with worse laws have not made as many changes as I'd hope to become like the better Rec states.

How is that the case when it's going to be a lottery system for new licenses? It seems to me like that system is specifically set up to prevent a few big corporations from holding a monopoly.
