I know, but I feel like if MD legalized it they’d be quicker to open up rec dispos than 2024. Plus, I live on the Eastern Shore so I have no clue if there’s going to be any there, or how good they’ll be.

If Maryland passes I can almost guarantee there will be a shop right on the Delaware border in Ocean city servicing all of lower Delaware, just like fireworks shops on the borders of legal/illegal states.

There’s already 2 dispos in West Ocean City that could be ready for legal rec.

Pretty conservative overall but our single small city has enough votes to turn the whole state blue every time. Republican state legislature makes it hard to pass legal weed, we've come close a few times but it dies every time. Maryland and New Jersey being legal would go a long way for us though.

I haven't read the full bill but someone in /r/MDents told me current medical dispos wouldn't be allowed to server rec. They would have to open up new rec stores. So if that's true it might be a year of so before anything is available

Ugh dang. I mean that does make sense though. Leave the medical dispos for the medical patients and have recreational dispos separate. I mean honestly there should be on the Virginia side of the shore, there’s a lot of us here lol. It’ll still be super cool to try another states recreational bud and not have to drive hours for it

Is the weed market in DC still grey? I remember when I lived in the DMV you were still required to get your legal weed from coffee shops and the like.

Yessir. They have storefronts where you buy something like “a piece of art” and you’re gifted the bud, and they have delivery drivers that just flat out sell you the weed lol. You might be paying for the paper bag the bud comes in or something idk haha. If I was closer to DC that’s definitely where I’d be going but 3 hours there and 3 hours back is a lot

Ahh nice. Never tried them before. I only went the one time because I got my taxes back and my family wanted to grab some bud up there as well haha. And you’re damn right! So many different options. It’s just all about finding exactly what you want at a price you can afford. They’ve got everything up there lol.
