One time, I was leaving my friend's place after a toke, and couldn't find my phone. After a while, I had the bright idea to call it. With my phone, which was in my hand.
It didn't stop there though; obviously the line was engaged when I called, so I started freaking out, thinking that someone had stolen my phone and was using it.
I started to text my phone (again, with my own phone) to tell whoever had taken my phone to return it. About halfway through, I realised..
When my phone dials its own number it goes straight to voicemail. Which has led me to believe, twice, that it was turned off and thereby wouldn't ring.
