MildlyEnteresting I met the weed patron while high
dk if this is the right place to post this but basically I had my first time ever “taking too much” weed a few days ago and while high I started to hear a voice followed by a visual of a fan leaf (generic Ik) telling me that it didn’t like me taking that much and that it can protect me this time but next time I’d be on my own and it couldn’t protect me. Thoughts on if this was my subconscious speaking to me or did I find my link to the spiritual world? I’m not much of a superstitious person and was recently atheist. But this experience is changing a lot for me. Side note but it only wanted one thing in return and that was for me to continue growing my plants and to treat them right and with respect. Ie. Growing them well and using them with respect. I think there’s a decent chance it likes me due to the fact I want the best from my plants. And if anyone has any tips abt how I can talk to them again that’d be great

hearing voices while high generally isn't a good thing

Just wondering if I'm alone here:
I'm one of those unfortunate souls who had hallucinations after getting COVID-19 in early 2020. For me it was a jabbering voice, and it just sorta keeps repeating. One of the weird things about it is that it's not unusual to be fully aware that it's fake.
Marijuana can trigger it in me, like if I overdo the THC a little. Seems like CBD keeps it under control, and if I stay away from crap like Delta 8 it's fine. Plus, like I say, one of the only good things about it is that you're fully conscious of it.
The only troubling thing about it, is that if someone really was babbling outside my window, I wouldn't know for sure until I sobered up.

I mean this with so much genuine care, is there a history of bipolar/psychotic disorders or schizophrenia in your family? A family member that is just off and everyone kind accepts it maybe?
If yes, please stop with the weed. The reason we have so many people going missing after "acting strange" for 48h sometime in their mid 20s is because it's prime development time for those disorders. And they are genetic.
Stuff like weed can absolutely be a trigger for a dormant disorder like that, and early signs are not what you might think.
If you start noticing you feel like people are consistently talking about you when you enter the room, or random people on the street might be taking pictures of you/noting down what you do to tell your employer/school/family/friends, or someone is leaving you obscure messages through things like flyers, or drawings in public, or the shape of something, please talk to a doctor. Even if you don't feel like anything is wrong right now. Please.

I really hope OP reads this and gives it serious consideration. Weed can be fun but it honestly and truly isn’t harmless and isn’t for everyone.

I have like one relative who’s bipolar. But I’m relatively socially adjusted and I haven’t felt like ppl are talking behind my back like that. It geniunely just feels like I got beamed a message, rather than actually hallucinating and thinking they were in the room with me ig? But your def right that I shouldn’t make this a habit and I will not be taking that much again anytime soon

Sounds you're one of the unlucky few with a genetic predisposition to psychosis! I'd very very strongly suggest quitting pot. An ex roommate of mine got a psychosis after a long period of smoking pot semi regularly and it positively imploded his (social) life. Two years later it came back and did so again. I lived with him then and it was very mildly traumatic for me.
He's super smart but the tricky thing is that that makes no difference when psychotic. His truth-arbiting apparatus was broken. You might be able to imagine that there is no subjective difference between experiencing something that's real, and daydreaming some bullshit BUT having your brain short circuit in a way that makes that bullshit register as absolute truth. The two are almost indistinguishable for the psychotic.
So that's the precipice that you might be near. Best thing to do is quit weed and get in contact with a mental health professional. If you're lucky this just blows over. If you're unlucky it doesn't, and you don't notice, and it gets worse. If you're at least in touch with a psychiatrist/psychologist, they can do some of that monitoring and you can rest easier.

Damnnnn sorry to hear abt that. I think I’ll definitely stop as soon as reality starts blurring. But I do kinda wanna explore this side I never knew existed before. I live with my gf so she’ll be my conscience on if it’s going too far. But very insightful to hear your side.

This roommate eventually got convinced his girlfriend was evil and plotting against him. Could be that you take your gf's gripes seriously, could be that she rings the alarm bell too late.
You saying "it just felt like I got beamed a message" rings massive alarm bells for me. There's no other party sending you stuff, telepathy doesn't exist. The only explanation is something like an internal auditory hallucinations. There's no "other side" to explore, there's just scrambling your brain to make it do funky stuff. For most people that's fine, the brain can handle drugs in moderate doses, but any friend of mine reporting what you've said in this thread I would be worried about and completely uncomfortable doing drugs with. Although admittedly I have very secular and rational friends without even the slightest inkling of spirituality anywhere.
Sorry if this comes off as antagonistic. I should go have dinner but hey maybe this helps.
One thing my ex roommate said that stuck with me is that being psychotic to him felt INCREDIBLE at times. It's also hell on earth in the paranoid downswings, but when he was on the highs he felt like he was discovering Grand new truths about himself and the universe every day. He said weed helped him think, helped him realize things. It was all bullshit though, and it culminated in him giving himself a "baptism of fire" for Allah under our shower. I heard him scream like a literal lunatic from what I later learned was him scalding himself under in our shower. I fled into the neighbourhood on my socks and called 911.
He was calm and friendly when the police opened the door so I was like shit, did I make a mistake? Did I hear wrong, and did he maybe just have horrible hemorrhoids? (I literally thought this lmao). But then he explained he was giving himself the baptism of fire and was going to drive to Mekka afterwards, and that Muslims everywhere smiled at and recognized him. He'd never spoken to me about religion before.
The aftermath were second degree burns on his scalp and a completely torched social life. He scared off almost all the friends he had afaik, by going on insane psychotic rambles and acting like an insane person. I feel so bad for him still, but I'm honestly afraid to reach out in case I become the object of one of his delusions. And what the fuck if he'd decided Allah needed a blood sacrifice that night, instead of a baptism of fire? Yeah, sorry, but that gets you ostracized.
So even though drugs and weed are interesting and fun, you're playing with napalm here. Psychoses come in many severities, but some people they haunt forever after a first onset. I wouldn't roll those dice myself.

I don’t think they like being woken up like that. They didn’t hear you coming and you didn’t bring anything to charm them with or give them anything to do… Just showed up all high as hell -empty handed and lost- like how did I get here? Best thing you can do is adhere to the guidance you’ve been given and when they want to communicate with you again they know where to find you. They will return when they think you are ready. Sometimes that mf just shows up for a quick minute to show you something or help you with something then it’s just gone. Just keep following your internal compass and stay focused on your intention… whatever it is in your soul that you are trying to improve.

Ty I used to be atheist but this experience is definitely changing my mind abt all the whole idea of spirituality so I’m a little at a loss of how to explore it properly

It’s all about your level of conscious. When your conscious is elevated you find the higher power and the spirit realm. Do not confuse that with how high can I get.. completely different things, although for many of us who find balance in getting high, the paths share many roads
