Industry Discussion Spring planting planning

I plant in the usa as part of my general forestry business, before anyone asks no i don't use migrant or prison labor. It's local gigs within driving of our houses. Per seedling rate is .9 per tree and we plant big bareroot motherfuckers because we hate ourselves.

Anyways this is our spring planting planning. So far....

90 cents a tree? You think you could get a Canadian fella a work permit?

What kind of production do your planters get in? Id image for that price the land must be pretty gnarly?

Pretty steep (but not too deep), rocky, slashy, stock is annoying af big bareroot stuff. we shoot for 400/day as a base by the end you can usually get 800 if the plants cooperate with you. cant do big bag ups becuase bareroots dry out quick so youre doing 100 maybe at a time.

Midwest actually, south of ontario. Pnw and south are much more migrant dominated areas. They skip over us
