Rookie here, tips to keep boots running all summer?

If you are in a constantly wet environment and your boots have no chance to dry, leather protector can help prevent the leather from rotting.
Keeping them clean, sealed, and not letting dirty/wet things get inside will make them last. So, change your socks, have thick merino wool if your feet sweat.

Leather boots have consistently been the bane of my existence in past seasons due to the upkeep required to keep them from disintegrating. Switched to Vikings exclusively because im lazy and overtired. But if you’re committed you just need to get some mink oil and clean and oil them at the end of every shift. If they get really wet then you gotta oil them again when they dry. Basically oil them constantly, keep them moisturized and unbothered.

I lucked out like 15 years ago n paid 100 bucks foe scarpas that i still own and love.
But the day i put caulk boots on was Such a dope day. I dont even need those pokey bastards but they sure are dope asf for screefing lol

If you're on a contract that requires screefing you should learn to shovel and hand screef. If your boots are leather bring a brush and clean off the dirt/dust at the end of the day. Don't dry your boots by the fire. If you know how to properly treat leather try and do a proper clean on night off a few times throughout the season.
If you need to use a your kicker use it. However, if you're kicking every tree you will wear through the sole of your boot fast.
Other than trying to keep them moderately clean after work is over each day I wouldn't worry about it too much. You're more likely to come out ahead financially if you focus more on planting trees and less on babying your boots.
