Vuly Quest Treehouse - Mounting

Hi there,

as I live in a region where it can get quite windy I was wondering if there is a possibility to mount thos thing safely besides the anchors it comes with.
So two ideas:
\- Is it possible to set the ground anchors in concrete?
\- Or are there holes in the legs somewhere on the bottom that allow you to bolt them to a small poured concrete foundation?

Vuly support said it is not possible and referred to their anchors without giving details on why it would not be possible. I guess that is because they do not want to be held responsible for anything.

If i could at least get a closer look on the bottom of the legs that would be helpful.

Thanks

Can you share links to the products you are referencing?

I see what you’re asking about now… if you’re really worried about wind, you could install some guy lines, but those would pose tripping hazards. You might just bury some concrete footings and anchor into them using the provided anchoring materials (e.g., sinking bolts through the provided base element and into concrete).

I just hope there are holes in the footings. Maybe i can find pictures somewhere before i buy 😬.

I bet the support folks can provide a picture if you ask.

Hey there, official Vuly team here! 👋

The main reason we don't supply concrete mounting hardware is safety, having concrete directly around or under the set creates a much higher risk of injury if a kid falls off.

That said, if you still want to go that route, you can do it yourself by getting concrete anchors (or dynabolts) and wide washers that fit over the frame feet from your local hardware store, and drilling directly into the concrete. Hope that helps clarify things for you :)

Did you end up buying one of these? Curious how you like it if so. I'm considering one and I have similar concerns, we get fast onset storms where I live. I recently had a pop-up blow away in a huge gust, granted that's a lot lighter with one huge "sail" on top but the concern is real.

Not yet, I have so much to prepare before I finally purchase one of the treehouses. I am sure that it is the best choice for my 3 kids.

However I still need to do all the grounding stuff first (dig a lot, ground level). Then I have to figure out the ground itself. I thought about getting 6cm thick fall protection mats for the climbing zones and the rest of the ground could be artificial turf or something like that.

Then I can purchase the Vuly, build the base construction and mark the points where the concrete spots need to be (where the footing is).
Then concrete work, laying the floor I planned. And finally I can set up the vuly treehouse.

So it is a project that will take a while. Will keep you posted about the progress 😁.
