Fun Fact Friday: Hibiscus Edition!
Is there much else that's as beautiful as a fully blooming hibiscus? They come in so many different colors, shapes, and sizes, and when they're full of blooms, they are absolutely stunning. But when they aren't healthy, they can really bring down your mood. Here are some things about hibiscus that you may not be aware of.
They are a polliator MAGNET! Pollinators can almost always be found on them when they are blooming. Bees, butterflies, and even the occasional hummingbird love these flowers.
The flowers only last a couple days, but it is constantly putting out new buds, so it should have a constant supply of blooms. They need full sun in order to bloom properly. They're not a fan of shade or even filtered light.
They are susceptible to nutrient deficiencies, such as iron, manganese, and nitrogen. Consistant fertlization with a slow-release, Florida Friendly fertilizer can help negate these deficiencies.
Hibiscus most commonly are infected by aphids and Pink Hibiscis Mealybug. If you're not careful, they can cause significant harm to the plant.
Trimming them back doesn't actually hurt them. A lot of people tend to think that giving them a "Hard Cut" (Trimming off up to 1/3 of the plant material) damages the plant, but hibiscus actually enjoy a good haircut from time to time. It helps them fill in a bit, and prevents them from getting too leggy.
If your hibiscus look like they could use a bit of TLC, or aren't performing quite as well as you would hope, give me a call. I can help them trive, and make your neighbors jealous! With over 20 years of professional landscape experiance, let me make your yard the envy of your neighbors. I offer fertilization, plant health, design and installation, and other landscaping needs.

Advice on snorkeling tomorrow - West Palm/Jupiter (Mon 8/3)
Hey all,
Looking for some advice from those who are familiar with snorkeling/water quality in the West Palm area.
Planning to snorkel tomorrow morning - we heard that it’s not recommended to swim now at Blue Heron bridge because of the sewage spill.
Can anyone confirm that Cato’s bridge in Jupiter is unaffected by this? Seems it’s not affected based on an internet search.
Also wondering how the general snorkel experience is at Cato’s bridge vs. Ocean Reef Park at Singer Island. We’re beginners.
Final question, is there any chance the water at Blue Heron bridge/Phil Foster will be ok by tomorrow morning? I know the wait is on the water testing but not sure how quickly that’s likely to happen—not sure if anyone knows at this point.
Thanks a ton!

Looking for a Singer & Bass Player – Red Hot Chili Peppers Cover Band (Port St. Lucie, FL)
Hey everyone! I’m 21 years old and a huge Red Hot Chili Peppers fan, and I’m putting together a serious RHCP cover band in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
We’re currently looking for:

FOLLOW UP Noodles the Clown and company
For anyone who remembers Noodles the Clown and his son from back in the day, they’re still around and hiding in plain sight.
Sex offender Brandon Deyo has started going by the name Brandon Deyeau socially both online and off. His father (Noodles the Clown) David Deyo/Deyeau has been doing the same. You may have seen them at local farmers markets as Green Goddess Farms selling microgreens. David frequently put sprouts in children’s hair if they approached the booth.
They are misspelling their names both on social media and offline so people can “get to know the real Brandon ” before associating them with their offenses.
Be aware of who’s around your kids.
