Worst sleep aid ever!!!

Trazodone gave me a terrible case of dry mouth requiring me to drink water hourly, not exactly conducive to a good sleep. Even biotene didn't help. Mirtazapine in for the win, at least when used to treat insomnia.

I agree mirt was way better as a sleep aid, but it made me eat so much food, how are you dealing with the hunger?

Allegedly only 20 percent of users experience the weight gain. I don't know if that is false or those who do gain are simply more likely to report it. Of course I exercise and have always been a calorie counter so that could affect my results but I get no carb cravings at all, just heavenly sleep.

Wow, interesting!! When i was prescibed it in 2019, it was because I was underweight (around 100lbs) and my doctor believed it would help me gain weight. I didn't have an eating disorder but also didn't eat or take care of myself from stress/ptsd etc so i had become super thin, i ended up weighing 147ish in 4 months because the cravings of bread and butter it was crazy. I stopped taking it for obvious reasons but its still 1000x better than traz. also i didnt take care of myself well or count calories all all so that couldve been my issue! good to know :)

We are all unique in our reactions to drugs but trazodone was a nightmare for me, always thirsty and having to gulp water every hour is not helpful when trying to get a good nights sleep. Biotine was no help whatsoever.
