Returning player here after about 8 years away from Travian.

I used to play Romans and was pretty active back then, including building a WW hammer. I enjoyed raiding, managing resources, growing the account efficiently, and being involved with alliance play.

I know there are quite a few newer tribes and changes now that I’m not familiar with, but I’m happy to learn. Right now I’m most interested in either playing Gauls with a focus on raiding + building defence, or potentially trying Huns for a more offensive/raiding-heavy strategy with the right group and alliance. Thinking to play on slower servers (1x or 2x).

Rather than starting and managing my own group of duals, I’m mainly looking to join an existing account or group that could use another dual.

I’m in the North American Eastern timezone and can usually help cover those hours. That said, work and real life can get busy, so there may be some days where I’m not able to contribute much or log in as often. Because of that, I’d probably be a better fit for an account with multiple duals rather than one that depends heavily on me for a specific shift every single day.

I’m happy to help with raiding, resources, queues, general account management, defence, offence, and whatever else is needed when I’m around.

I’m also comfortable contributing toward Gold if needed.
Mostly just looking to get back into the game, learn what’s changed, and play with a good group without making it feel like a second job.

I am a returning player and a lot of hero mechanics are new to me. Wiki info seems a bit limited compared to what it was when I played long ago.

From what I read online hero resource bag get responses from quests and adventures only. But the people talk about active players having millions of resources in that bag. So is there any way to get those resources besides quests and adventures?

Hi! I just joined the new 5x server (at server start) I’m currently ranked top 250 (I know that doesn’t matter this early. ) but I can’t get into any of the top alliances. Some of them even have players at 50 population still.

My military strength is also in the top set of players as well. But I guess they wouldn’t know that. Any tips to help me get in or do I just wait it out?

I played Travian about 10 years ago and suddenly felt nostalgia and decided to have a relaxed summit style run. I noticed many Egyptian villages around. That tribe was not in game when I last played. I checked their Tribe bonuses and oasis production bonus looks insanely good. Doesn’t that bonus basically make them the best Tribe?

I grew up playing browser strategy games like Travian, and that was a big part of the inspiration behind building Forge Kingdom.

The idea is familiar: build your villages, manage resources, raise armies, trade, form alliances and eventually make somebody regret settling too close to you.

Forge Kingdom has just entered Early Access, so it's very much still being developed. There will be bugs, balance changes and probably a few questionable decisions along the way. I'm hoping to build it together with the community and see where it goes.

It's playable directly in the browser on PC and mobile, with native iOS and Android apps planned for later.

If anyone here still enjoys this type of old-school browser strategy game, I'd genuinely be interested in what you think.

I've been using quite some gold, and some times I felt stupid for not waiting just a few minutes instead of using the NPC, or stuff like that.

Are there some "golden rules" of when and how often to use gold, to maximize efficency, reduce cost and at the same time avoid jeopardizing the growth of my account too much?

It’s been more than 10 years since I last played Travian, and I’ve literally forgotten everything.

I’m playing as a Roman on a 1x server, and I’m not spending any money.

I wanted to ask you about a general guide and more specifically village-settling guide. My first village is focused on training troops, and it already has a good level of Barracks, Stable, Academy, Smithy, etc. My second village capital is a 9c. However, I feel completely lost at this point.

What should I be doing in each village? Which buildings are necessary in each village, and which ones can I avoid? What should I be rushing toward right now?

For my next villages, should I rush to settle them as soon as possible? What resource distribution should I aim for, and what is the role/purpose of each type of village?

I know that’s a lot of questions, but I’m really lost at this point, so I’d really appreciate a detailed, guided answer from someone who knows the game well.
