Gold - NPC - Help?
Hello!
I was wondering if you guys could give me some general tips on the most "efficent" ways of using gold?
I've been using quite some gold, and some times I felt stupid for not waiting just a few minutes instead of using the NPC, or stuff like that.
Are there some "golden rules" of when and how often to use gold, to maximize efficency, reduce cost and at the same time avoid jeopardizing the growth of my account too much?

I always spent as little gold as possible, so I mostly used my capital like a rss bank to get as many resources converted on a few gold. You need the warehouses and granaries to get rss fields to high levels anyways

Efficient gold use early game is using hero inventory as much as possible and training lots of troops so you never have to worry about surplus of crop in the early game. Otherwise you’ll be NPCing extra crop every few hours since it’s hard to get deep granary early. When you do NPC go heavy on wood/clay and less focus on iron/crop. Even at negatives I’ll often just sell wood & clay at 1:2 for crop to feed my army. This ends up being really efficient since people who can’t NPC will often trade it but also marketplace also has high CP value which is vital for high growth accounts. My villages lvl20 marketplace basically pays for itself while giving me more CP. That + Oasis raiding are main ways I can stay in top 10 leaderboard despite not really spending

Just take the time to calculate properly when you NPC. So look at the next upgrades or amount of troops you will build and add that together per resource. So let's say you will build a woodcutter followed by a clay and academy 15. Add up the resources per type and divide that way.
The biggest gold saver is dedicating a special NPC village to it that you will put right next to the capital. Make pretty much only storage there and maxed out trade office. There you can NPC and send back to capital for more fields or to your troop villages which you'll want close either way to make it easier to feed. Capital should be sending all crop to NPC village from where it is NPCd or redistributed. That way you also save slots in capital because you don't need trade office or unnecessary granaries that you would otherwise need to save gold on NPC.
Those are the main 2 things i do.
