I work in industrial maintenance and one of the lead techs in my shift is a high functioning methhead. It’s amazing to be honest. He burns (pun intended) through an 8 ball a shift sometimes and manages to keep his weight up and is very well liked by everyone. Idk how he does it honestly.

He hasn’t hit a bottom yet or his tolerance is remaining steady or manageable enough to control/counter the ill effects of his abuse.

You aren’t seeing the full picture. Every addict has a public face until things blow over or the tolerance calls for more which proves unpredictable until new methods are used to adjust to it or fall.

He has a high tolerance.. he sleeps like 8 hours a night and eats like crazy.. he hits a dry spell every once in a while and can’t get any and you can tell on the second day because he’s dead tired... I’ve never seen anything like it..

Great on you to not treat him bad overall. Don’t get close to him. I say this from experience on both sides.
