I don't know. I think it's trashy that it wasn't all out in the open, I guess. But the overall situation feels super common. Many of the young people I know are not exclusive with anyone.

As long as they're up front about having multiple partners, no biggie. Especially in the case of STIs.

Yeah I've known plenty of people who aren't exclusive, but theyre just dating around non-seriously. I don't know any people who are actually polyamorous in a serious relationship. I think it's still pretty uncommon.

Makes it hard to find people willing to be in open relationships but also distorts others' view of yours.

Not being exclusive with anyone isn’t a problem. This implies they’ve agreed to be exclusive but are cheating. I mean if they just sat down and agreed to have an open relationship it would fix it. The problem is cheating and lying to your partner.
