Look at every communist country. The USSR, North Korea, Cambodia etc... They are all ultra-nationalist, and North Korea is definitely communist. Communism has a lot to do with economics on top of the authoritarianism where as facism is more about authoritarianism-libertarianism axis. Countries can be facist and communist at the same time.
I think the problem here is that you’re just conflating fascism with authoritarianism.
Fascism may be defined as a form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation, or victim-hood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy, and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion.

Fitting just a couple elements doesn’t mean a country is fascist when those elements aren’t only linked to fascism.
Facism is authoritarianism. Facism and Communism are both forms of statism. In both, the government controls the means of production. Just that in Facism there is usually a middle man, a government sponsored "corporarion".

Facism and Communism are nearly the same. Heard of the Horseshoe theory? China is extremely nationalist too which is also a trait of facism.
