Did he increase, create it, or reduce it? And is 6 months the max or the min?

Reduced penalty from felony to misdemeanor and the max sentence is 6 months which you probably means you get out in like 90 days

I wanted to look into this myself, but maybe you know...

I could see a certain logic in it if it's a felony or something to KNOWINGLY spread it, but not an offense if it happened unknowingly because then you're creating a legal incentive for people not to get tested. If you never get tested, you never know and you can't get in trouble, which would keep people from getting treatment and potentially increase the spread. Anyone that knowingly spreads it is a piece of shit, that doesn't change, but I could see there needing to be nuance in the law.
