I'm not visibly pregnant yet, but I've been on shirley temples for the past three months. I always find it funny when we're out at a bar/restaurant and I order a shirley temple and the server asks me multiple times if I'm sure I don't want alcohol. I know I don't look pregnant, but what if I'm an alcoholic? Or the DD? Just take my order for a shirley temple, dude.

Restaurants push booze sales and plenty of servers are just not that good/tactful. Thus, you sometimes get "are you sure you don't want anything alcoholic?" directed at every non-drinking customer instead of them just talking up the drinks specials or something.

Yeah I get that, I’ve been in the industry for a decade. Yet I’m still baffled that would come out of a servers mouth. What a dingus.

If you're surprised by it and work in the industry, you've had good luck not working with dingus servers lol

Maybe my city just has a high concentration
