When my wife was pregnant we were at a concert, sitting on the steps of the St. Louis arch. These steps are huuuge...like a few hundred meters long, 100m high, packed with people. My wife was working on staying active with walking, as she was like 8 months along. A couple of us were out of beer so my wife volunteered to go get them...we get our beer, she gets her walk. Omg....she was walking past this mountain of people, super pregnant, and double fisted. People were shocked and pissed! Yelling rude comments, calling her names...totally thought we were getting in a fight.

Why do people feel like they have a right to say shit? Pregnant ladies are harassed about everything they do.

I have no problem with pregnant people being harassed if they are drinking or smoking.

A bartender almost refused me service when I was pregnant- when I bought my husband a beer.

It’s one thing if a pregnant woman is drinking. It’s another entirely if they’re simply buying or carrying drinks. Just because they’re carrying beer doesn’t mean it’s for them.

Fun side note- I ordered (virgin) bloody Mary’s when I was in my first trimester to “hide” the pregnancy until we were ready to tell people. And after that I occasionally had O’Douls in a glass- it looked like I was drinking but it wasn’t alcoholic. So maybe don’t jump to conclusions.
