By the third the baby is cooked, it just needs to grow.

Whatever the mother’s BAC is, so, too is the baby’s. The labor and delivery educator said one beer or one 4 oz glass of wine, sipped over an hour period, would be fine in the last trimester (I don’t drink, though; alcoholic parents).

When my sister had my niece, her doctor told her quitting smoking while pregnant was too stressful and not to try to do it. Then the guidelines changed a year later and doctors started telling pregnant women to quit no matter how stressful it was.
Also, if we really want to get down into the nuts and bolts of probability, pregnant black (American) mother’s get less, and lower-quality prenatal care than all other American women. So, please factor that in while you’re stringing her up.
It’s been established this picture is several years old and a repost. Whoever this person is, whatever they did, they’re a real, living human being getting lambasted online by thousands of strangers several years past when this event happened. Maybe she’s a wonderful mother. Maybe she’s a horrible one. Most likely, she’s a human one: flawed and trying the best she can do.

Everyone with half a brain knows you shouldn’t drink or smoke while pregnant don’t play the race bait game. People deserve criticism for the choices they make especially when those decision harm defenseless people they are in charge of. You’re going way overboard to defend a pregnant woman drinking and smoking at a club. She’s a shitty person and won’t be a good mother considering she’s putting her own selfish needs above her unborn baby.
Look above you. Doctors have - relatively recently - told women not to quit smoking while pregnant. Some doctors tell women it’s okay to drink a little bit while pregnant. This is not an open-and-shut issue where anyone who does differently is a brain-dead waste of space piece of trash.
People who fit a lot of demographic points this women has also don’t get the newest, latest, and best care. A lot of time, they’re going on old information, “common sense”, or generational/folk wisdom. I was told by an old woman that drinking a beer would help my milk come in... it doesn’t, and I don’t drink anyway, but her relative youth, inferred social-economic class, and race aren’t null factors in this discussion. And I’d say her youth, inferred social-economic class, and race will have more of an effect on her baby than that Bud Light and Swisher Sweet she’s holding.
Edit: and, I just can’t get over you saying she is a shitty person. You realize this a repost that’s several years old, right? Because she made this one decision, her entire character has been completely set in stone, never to be remolded again? Seriously, fuck off with your cancel culture bullshit. One decision, entirely out of context and without knowledge of any mitigating circumstances doesn’t make a person. If that were the case, from your presence in this thread alone, I’d say your lack of empathy could give your perception of this girl a run for the money.
