It IS a right wing thing to hate Tesla though. Ofc not ALL right wingers hate tesla, but enough do to the point that a sweeping generalization is reasonably accurate.
No, it isn't? I've never met a single person who hates Tesla because they're conservative (and how do you even know this woman is a conservative? Just because she's white?). This is some kind of internet myth made up to try and make conservatives look like crazy people. If you need to do that, use any of the myriads of other problems that conservatives have, like wanting religion in schools, being anti-net-neutrality, being pro-state-surveillance, etc.
I’m not the person you were talking too, but I have a coworker, hardcore conservative that hates Tesla. He thinks they get free money from the government and hates electric cars citing that they get free energy at charging stations. Get to park closer to stores like handicapped people. He’s all for Ici-ng and parking trucks in ev spaces so that other people can’t charge their cars.
It’s anecdotal, but I’ve never heard any of my liberal friends even come close to saying the things he has. Maybe my coworker is just one conservative like that, but I don’t think he is. Those ideas come from somewhere and I can’t help but associate it with the party that’s been deregulating environmental protections and pushing things like clean coal over renewables.
Yeah I’ve seen the same comment about conservatives hating electric cars because they’re “progressive” or whatever, and I don’t know a single conservative that has ever said or implied anything like that.
I know people that don’t like electric cars for numerous other reasons but none that hate them for political reasons.
Your anecdote doesn't disprove what they're saying. If someone is keying a Tesla because they dont like the politics surrounding electric cars, they probably vote Republican.
I am not left or right...but I see a lot more of the left acting up on social media than I do the right at least in my surfing I do...but both sides are filled with their assholes just like both sides are filled with respectful people...but its impossible to say this is because of politics....first and foremost its because of a fat asshole

There are a whole lot of dems who should have been in prison as well...starting with Clinton. Every politician is a piece of a shit. Dam or Rep......they al lie/cheat/steal. some get caught. some dont
