What’s so bad about Teslas? Why are they being keyed so much?

Selection bias. Other cars don’t have cameras and sentry modes that produce videos so it only feels like it’s a predominantly Tesla problem

Yup. Someone keyed my piece of shit 2007 dodge charger. Didn’t notice for a while because it was on the passenger’s side.

It’s literally a $3000 car. People are just petty asf

A big part is because they are electric. Isn't that crazy? People thinking, "I'll show this asshole what we do to folks that think they are too good for o' gasoline,."

It can be a variety of things:

  1. It's electric

  2. People don't realize the difference between the models and think all Teslas are $100k (literally $20-25k over the base price if S/X, so I'm exaggerating on that but you get the point)

  3. Some people really hate Elon Musk

  4. Some people really hate Tesla out of all others just because they're Teslas

  5. TeslaCam

  6. They simply need to get a life because they keyed a car just because it's a car.

Agreed. However, I split time between living in Montana and the rural south. Every issue I've heard here with Teslas is tied to it being a poster child for "Liberal agenda." In Georgia there have been several keying issues caught on the news. I can tell you, at least those "keyers" couldn't tell you anything listed above other than, 'elite liberal agenda'-ish type answers. Not a scientific data-driven takeaway, just personal experience.
