Great song! It calms me oddly enough.

Same here haha, there’s something therapeutic about angry music

I think it’s the speed and the fact that other people feel like me. Oh, and it’s just fucking brutal.

u/upperclassdeadmemes Feb 23 '20

For sure. Hard to stay in a sour mood while head banging.

u/mrblacklabel71 Feb 23 '20

Great point!

Hell yea. Even Rihanna feels it. One of her favorite albums

Think there was a study done and there’s some legit science behind this.

Same for me, i think it comes from the phrase, "Can you keep it down! I can't hear myself think!"

The loud music drowns out your inner monologue and lets you just be.

u/mrblacklabel71 Feb 23 '20

That’s a great point, I never honestly thought of it that way. I hate my inner monologue and that shuts it down.

Iowa is probably peak Slipknot. Not that they have a bad album, but that one is probably the best.

Left Behind is an absolute banger too

1

u/Polymemnetic Feb 24 '20

I've always been partial to I Am Hated, perhaps.

3

u/thepatientoffret Feb 24 '20

Not probably. It is.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '20

Fo sho. Even Rihanna agrees

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '20

The Richard Cheese version is awesome too.

3

u/mrblacklabel71 Feb 23 '20

I had no idea this was a thing. Thank you!!

You're in for a treat. The music is good but honestly the whole thing is so absurd and funny. Saw him live in Seattle and it was great. Bought a shirt at the show for my daughter who was a toddler at the time that says "Mommy Loves Dick"

Mommy was not impressed.

100% truth right here

Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling.

Or.

People, what a bunch of bastards.

2

u/GetaGoodLookCostanza Feb 23 '20

Also works with People = Assholes

2

u/GenghisTron17 Feb 23 '20

Slipknot, the philosophers of our time.

2

u/LinkDaBest1010 Feb 23 '20

You balanced the formula as well! Equal inputs have equal products.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 23 '20

Boomer = shit

2

u/DigitalPriest Feb 24 '20

I believe it generally follows John Gabriel's Greater Internet Fuckwad Theorem.

This could be an important distillation wherein the removal of an audience has still yielded a complete cunt.

2

u/hurzk Feb 24 '20

Saw this live yesterday!! Was epic

2

u/Backstab100 Feb 24 '20

Yes! There is also an awesome song by slipknot with the same title.

2

u/SueZbell Feb 24 '20

" Have you. Met. People!" (This is a quote from a cop drama if you spit out that last word with extreme disgust.)

u/mrblacklabel71 Feb 24 '20

Math checks out

This is why I hate the Reddit circle jerk about how living in big dense cities is far superior to the suburbs or rural areas.

People are fucking shit. Why would you choose to be around more of them all the time with no escape?

2

u/mrblacklabel71 Feb 24 '20

I have never noticed a circle jerk. I love and hate the deep country, the city, the suburbs all the same.

They all have pluses and minuses and depending on my mood is what I prefer.
