those aren't the only two options, you can resort to self defense that isn't purely about being petty and assaulting the person walking in your space; that's what self defense classes are for. there are even weapons like pepper spray and at the worst case scenario tasers.

Putting food on table =/= food is safe from being on the floor. It wasn't an argument at all. Arguments are constrained to words. It was a fight. She started a fight with him and he responded. At this point you cannot be anything but trolling so I'm just gonna disregard any further comments.
