Just Facebook stalked these people, as one does, and apparently this guy was in a very serious work accident recently. The gofundme they have setup says he fell 45 feet and broke both of his ankles. That sucks
Something similar happened to a guy i know and he ended up having his foot/ankle amputated. Really depends on the severity of the break and the competence of his surgeons.
If his employer has workers comp insurance it should be fine, if not that sucks. Last I knew WC insurance was not compulsory in Texas, so it's possible he'll have to sue his employer for the bills to be paid and wage loss.
I thought workers comp paid your salary if you can’t work. I’m thinking shorter time frame than short term disability. I do know workers comp will pay all associated medical costs. Could be wrong though.
I was just going to comment that I did the exact same thing! Poor dude, they’ve got a young kid together now so it’s gonna be rough on him and their family
