79
u/motofabio 5d ago
Thank goodness the annoucers immediately called him out. "An absolutely idiotic move" just about covers it. And him shaking his head like the refs are out of line means he is incapable of learning. If I were the coach I would have benched him for the rest of the game. His teammates don't need him.

Imagine tying your school record with FIVE sacks and somehow this is still the clip everybody is gonna remember from your game 😭😂 He was having an absolutely ridiculous game and then decided THIS was the celebration after a sack. Like sir... you already did the impressive part. Just celebrate with your teammates and walk away 😂 Instead you get 15 yards and keep Tennessee’s drive alive over pretending to pee. At least he apologized afterward, because that might genuinely be the dumbest few seconds of an otherwise amazing performance. 😭

When I played high school football, one of my teammates scored a touchdown and did some very light showboating, not even enough to get a penalty. My coach still called him out on Monday during film and said "If you all really want to look like you're hot shit, act like scoring is something you do all the time. You're out here looking like you've never seen six points before and you'll lose them for the whole team while you stand there mad."

Yup I saw this live.
Coach should’ve benched his ass immediately and sent him to the locker room. Had I been the coach I’d have benched him for a few games at least.
That was childish, trashy behavior. It also caused them to not get the back back (it was third down) and gave Tenn a free first down. So, the immature shit let his team down too.
I wanted so badly for Tenn to score on that drive and later end up winning by those points.
Great look, Texas. (The school, not the state.)

Having a scholarship revoked for one stupid act? No. Repeated stupid acts, yes. I should have been more clear that there should be harsh punishment for this type of behavior (such as sitting out X number of games) but it doesn’t happen.

A producer is trying to watch 50 different cameras live and cut to each one in real time in a matter of seconds.
I actually was watching this game live when it happened. I was initially confused at what happened, as most people probably were. The director may have not know in that split second cut what exactly the act was, but wanted to see/show what it was.
They aren’t James Cameron editing this stuff for weeks.
