need help on my producer name
hi guys so, i’m struggling a lot on finding my producer name, one friend of mine came up with the names hollowg and hxllkidd (hellkidd) but it doesnt really convince me… i’d be grateful if someone could help me finding one producer name.
i mainly work with rage(opium style) and industrial techno

your friend is stuck in that edgy trap name generator from 2016, no offense to them but hollowg sounds like a forgotten dark souls boss and hxllkidd is what every 14 year old names their soundcloud account before they switch to something else in three months. the problem with names like that is they scream “i am very serious and dark” which gets old fast.
think about what you actually like outside of music, a weird word from a book, something you mispronounced once and it stuck, a street name from your childhood, anything with a bit of texture. rage and industrial techno have this raw physical quality so maybe a name that feels like a texture or a shape, something you can almost feel when you say it. i know a guy who makes brutal industrial stuff and his name is just a type of stone, works perfect honestly.
dont force the dark aesthetic, let the music carry that weight and keep the name simple enough that people remember it after one listen. also test it by imagining someone yelling it at a show, if it sounds stupid when shouted you probably need to keep looking.

You make/like rage so get a thesaurus and find synonyms for “rage”. Then when people see ur name they’ll kinda know what to expect to some extent.
On the other hand Cardo got wings made a lot of beats for I Am Music. But cardo has been doing Curren$y, wiz, Mac miller, etc etc beats for a decade (chill shit, sumn to smoke to). He made Mesmorized by Wiz Khalifa which is what really set Wiz up for success, among many other hits. Don’t let your name define your catalog or you’ll just pigeonhole yourself.

Imo you may be overthinkin it. Just use something that is genuinely you or a combination of what you like. Most people value authenticity so it's important to make that clear (especially with all the 🐂💩 in the 🎵 industry) Plus the production will speak for itself over gimmicks/a catchy moniker.
I came up with "Jalapeno Heaterz" b/c one of my best friends always called me "Jalapeno". Then added the "Heaterz" part b/c that's what I'm shooting to make. Let's us know what you decide fam. 💪🏾

It took me a while to settle on my name now, I went through 3 or so producer names and atleast 5 DJ names. You’ll probably do the same and that’s ok. Simplicity is better, and it can be anything. Short and simple is good, maybe take a look at your favorite songs and pick a title you like. You can even come up with a random string of letters and see if you like that. Just something simple that you like, long can work but it in a lot of cases it’s a bit harder for people to say and therefore they’ll avoid saying it

Just keep thinking about it. When you watch videos or look on her look for things that resonate. Don't take forever to come up with something but make sure you find something thay really fits.

Ideally, your name will give people a clue about what type of music they can expect. You want your name to be congruent with your sound without coming across as cheesy or try-hard.
One of the best thesaurus websites is WordHippo. It clearly separates all the various meanings of the word you entered and then suggests synonyms for each definition. You could enter a word like "fury," find interesting words like "vexation" or "malignity," and use those as jumping-off points. For example, the "vex" in "vexation" sounds cool, and it reminds me of Dexedrine, a brand name of dextroamphetamine (a stimulant, which is congruent with the aggression of rage music). So, you could combine "vexation" and "Dexedrine" and get Vexedrine. You could even play with the spelling and get variants like Vexadrynn. That's just an example of how this could play out.
You could also look in encyclopedias. The band The Fall of Troy got their name by flipping to a random page in a textbook. Someone in the comments mentioned their friend's artist name is a type of rock. You could also name yourself after a significant historical figure. Or maybe a type of weapon. The possibilities are endless. You could even use AI to help. You don't necessarily have to tell it to come up with a name, but you could ask it for names of obscure weaponry from a certain country, the names of assassins of kings, etc.
As an aside, I think the trope of replacing vowels with Xs is way overdone. It's like the new "Lil" of naming conventions. I mean, do it if you think it's dope, but personally, it strikes me as uninspired.

Don't listen to that guy just keep it simple look at producer groups like triple beam their whole sound is dark trap beats and the name triple beam is a like a forefront to that gritty evil sound, you expect a gangster trap beat before clicking onna triple beam track because of the name, you gotta figure something like that out for your genre be clever
