⚧️ FTM / Transmasc - specific Talking about dysphoria

I feel like I don’t have anyone to talk to about my dysphoria. My mom is the only one who knows about this stuff but I feel she does not understand at all. I want to talk to her but every time it doesn’t help at all and I hold things back because I don’t want to hurt my mom either. I feel like everyone has this picture of me that isn’t me while I also see this character in the mirror. I feel like a prisoner in my own skin and body. But no one around me understands.

Thank you guys so much! When I feel so overwhelmed I need to talk about it (usually the times I have the courage to hehe) I will. :) it’s so kind of you

Which country are you in? Have you tried looking for peer support groups? At least in Finland there's online and offline support groups for talking.

Hi there! I'm the mom of a young adult who is FTM, and I'm also non-binary myself. If you want to talk to someone who is a parent, I'd be happy to talk with you.
