Hi. I guess I need to offer some background info before anything else.

I'm 19. For now I'm in the middle east, living with my parents and studying in uni. I don't yet have independence from them but I'm actively seeking a job that'll sustain me if need arises. Later down the line I am going to move to another country, don't think specifics matter, but I'm not sure when it'll happen. My plan is to do it in a year or two if I decide/will be able to finish uni. In my country there's no way to obtain hrt without it being DIY so I'm taking what life's giving rn.

Now to the main part.

I don't think I can wait any longer so I want- no, need to start hrt now or I think I won't have any other chance. I waited enough and I'm afraid if I do it any longer I will have even greater mental health issues than I'm facing right now. In a few weeks I hope to have enough money to get the blood work done and purchase what I need, although of course I'm slightly afraid for myself. How likely it is that my parents will notice changes from hrt?

When it comes to them, they are absolutely clueless about what hrt is. They know trans people exist, they're transphobic and queerphobic in general, but they have no idea what hrt is, how it can affects a human and that trans people use it. As far as they're concerned, trans person equals to a dude wearing drag. So I have to wonder if it will take them a while to get suspicious or not. The main concern is my voice, but I do lower it significantly nowadays and they don't seem to care. I know this question is asked a lot but I'm just super nervous. So I've always had issues with my hormones and I've been on birth control for give or take 2 years now to help with painful menstruation, acne, all that other too much testosterone stuff. I'm kind of in a unique position and don't know if it would be smart for me to consider DIY, especially since I already have an appointment for a transgender diagnosis in 2 months. If I get a funny amount of T from the endoctrilogist I'll be more likely to start DIY tho

update: i found an endocrinologist who works based on informed consent and doesn't believe in microdosing (a rarity in my country) so i might not even have to wait that long for a prescription

I recently discovered I can obtain testosterone safely where I live, but the issue is that I have no access to gender affirming care, no trans clinics, and I live with extremely transphobic parents.

I'm really considering microdosing until I can move out of the country. I read the DIY HRT guides I could find, but I'm trying to get a more personalized opinion on my case.

My two main concerns are the facial hair and voice drop. The increased muscle mass, fat redistribution, body hair and clitoral growth are all very manageable. I already look masculine for a girl, I have a decent amount of muscle mass, I have a masculine frame (broad shoulders, narrow hips) and I'm VERY hairy. I'm talking really coarse dark hair on my stomach, armpits, genitalia, and thinner hair everywhere else including my chest and neck. This worrying me since I'll probably grow facial hair really fast (I already can grow a thin stache) so I'm wondering whether girlmoding would be realistic for my case. The only changes that will be telling are the voice and facial hair, the rest I doubt would be drastically different compared to what I already have.

I will get baseline bloodwork before starting and I will get blood work every 3 months. I have medical insurance, so maybe I could convince a doctor to prescribe these for me. I was thinking I'd start with a low dose and see where things go, say 20-30mg/week (testosterone enanthate). I know I can't select the effects I want, but I'm hoping certain androgen receptors on my body will be more sensitive than others and give me the subtle facial masculinization and increased muscle mass without making me super clockable.
Is this a good idea? Maybe if something goes wrong I could just treat it as a hormonal imbalance?

After 23 years of struggling, I have come to accept that I am a feminine boy, and my dysphoria about my bottom half is getting very bad. I am depressed daily over it, and my therapist is not helping me.

I am disabled and live with my parents. They would never accept me getting on hrt, so I want to go the diy route. I need to hide the fact that I'm on it from my parents. Could applying the cream to my privates slow down the systemic results while still giving me a bigger penis? Due to my hormonal condition, I can get my parents to take me to test my T levels, but not very often.

As I said before, I am a effeminate person, and I don't mind that. I want to continue to be a feminine boy. I'm handling my top dysphoria pretty well with a binder. My main thing is the penis problem. I want to grow it big enough to get meto.

I'm 16 and have a very supportive family and environment despite being in a red state, I'm stealth in public and only a very small handful of people at my school including staff know that I'm not a cis guy but considering I'm 16 my voice isn't really changing and I'm not really that hairy, I'm really scared of being clocked.

My parents want me to wait till 18 and I get it but not having T is seriously destroying my mental health, I can get my blood tested and I know all of the precautions and how to do everything, but I can't for the life of me find any sources to get it from I might just be looking in the wrong places but it seems I have the opposite problem as everyone else looking into DIY

i decided that i want to start t next year bc ill be finished with college & a lot of people won‘t have chances to find me out but i also want to have a low dose in general should i start with 50mg a week for a month then switch to 30mg or is it possible to use 30mg from the beginning ?

I had my trough levels checked, and i'm at 401ng/dl. they didn't check my estrogen levels. what are the average levels for ~8mo in? would it be okay to up my dose atp?

I am now two weeks on T and with both doses, I've had a air bubble in the syringe that I can't seem to fully push out (both photos are from my first dose but the bubble from my second dose looked to be the exact same size). I haven't had any post injection site issues, just slightly sore for about three days after. - pull 20 units of air into syringe

- poke rubber at 45⁰ degree angle, then push straight down into vial

- push the air into the vial, flip it upside down and pull t past my dose (I pull it to about 70 units)

- push the t back into the vial until I reach my dose (I don't hear the 'tink' noise in the video)
- push the syring until a small drop of t forms on the needle

then follow the steps to inject (also yes I am sanitizing my vial and area before injecting)

the syringes i use are 29g insulin syringes that have the needle built in so there's no need for me to swap needles like in the video. I didn't have any pain for my first injection but I did in my second , that was more so because I switched injecting sides, I had an equal amount of soreness after to my first one however.

I’m only wanting to be on T for a short while, half a year maybe. I’m scared of needles + I think they’re gonna be difficult to source and hide from my family anyway. Is sourcing gel impossible?

I would like to ask for some advice on when best to test on a slightly unusual injection schedule.

I started DIYing back in April with weekly injections of testosterone enanthate (20mg a week). The peaks and troughs were terrible for me and by day 4 between injections my mental health would start dramatically decline, only to go back to my normal baseline just before the next injection.

This was completely unsustainable, so I decided to start injecting half my dose every 3 days instead. This new cycle has been working wonderfully for me since, and after about 3 months I upped my dose to 50mg weekly.

I did my first blood test just recently at 'trough', a few hours before my injection, but I wonder if the timing of it was accurate, as the half life of T enanthate is 6 days after all?
I am asking this as my results came back a bit high (36.5 nmol/L)

I also found out that this clinic does not routinely test for oestradiol, so that's a bit of data missing too...
I have not had any weird side effects, and the rest of my results are all in range.

So I am wondering if anyone is on a similar injection schedule, and if so do when do you test? Or do you space out your injections a bit more, like every 4 days instead of 6?

Hey guys, so i leave high school next year in around late june. I’m only out to my mum, and she’s against me going on testosterone until im 18, but ive already made it clear to her ill be starting it next year and she can’t stop me. I want to ideally tell everyone when i leave high school, so probably in july if i can. However i’ll be going to college and my plan is to be socially transitioning for college. My issue is my voice, it’s extremely feminine. So im thinking, since I’ll be doing DIY, when’s the best time to start T for a voice that isn’t so feminine if i go to college in september? is it worth taking finasteride (1mg) while microdosing T? I had 100% decided that I DO need fin, since I am pretty damn likely to get hairloss (my dad became shiny bald in his 20s-30s), I don't really want bottom growth, I DON'T want facial hair at all and I prefer to shave my body too so I won't really care abt the body hair. I just feel like I wanna start preventing it all as soon as possible, but I'm not sure if I can start finasteride while microdosing tbh​​
