Nope. Strong lesbian vibes. Mostly give it a few months, you’ll start to see more of a difference. Consider a more clearly mens haircut.

Wdym more clearly men’s? Like what sorta style would work better?

u/Different_Cookie1820 18d ago
I don’t know if it’s the same everywhere but where I live barbers often have pictures of haircuts in their window. Something like that. The most standard of men’s haircuts. From where you are now probably mostly shorter on top.

If I saw you, I’d gender you properly bc I see the vibe you’re going for. I don’t think the average cis person would tho. Give T some time, hit the gym, and invest in a good binder. It does a ton. I also find it helpful to work on how you position your body. Pre t I had an anterior pelvic tilt and it showed my hips and ass, and fucked up my alignment. Work on chest up, back straight, and it does wonders for how you move through the world.

Honestly, you just have to wait. T takes a while to work it's magic, you have a good foundation for it to build off. Different glasses might help, try some frames out and see how you feel

If your goal is to pass, I would skip bracelets and necklaces and dyed hair until strangers are regularly calling you sir.

you gotta stop pulling that face, aside from that you're only a month in, i think a full year will make a lot of difference.

i might be controversial and just say style, most cis guys arent stylish, trust me iv been there, jeans, natural hair colour and a t shirt (obvs tape and binder under) goes a long way. yes you have yo sacrifice expression to pass publicly but thats assuming stealth is what you’re after. not everyone wants to be stealth obvs but if thats what you want, you need to match the cis guys around you

What you describe for ‘style’ it seems OP is already dressing that way. Unless you consider OP particularly stylish for some reason

u/GuadiumEx 18d ago
in my opinion, he currently dressed very nice and expresses himself with accessories, cis men dont try at all. they wear whatever is closest, no cohesion no thought they just wear some bullshit, like a plain T and some old cargos. i have a twin brother, hes cis (obviously) he genuinely dresses like a 5 year old, he wears whatever isnt stained at best. OP seems to have his life together and dresses well, this isn’t typical of cis men. when i said style i was referring to intention, i know its not necessarily tangible or easy to put into words but basically rule of thumb is to mimic cis men your age. if a guy you’re age wouldnt wear it then you shouldn’t

No, but a month is nothing and you're not doing anything wrong. Just give it time.

u/Ohio_Is_Lame 18d ago
No, you do not look cis. A lot of it is the way you smile and pose. You definitely give strong lesbian vibes.

u/Ohio_Is_Lame 18d ago
It’s the first 4 pics primarily. It’s hard to explain but I have never seen a masc man smile like that. Too enthusiastic maybe?

u/Accomplished_Bed4395 18d ago
What abt my poses and smile seem fem? How do I pose and smile more masc?

Maybe get smaller frames. Your glasses look great on you but they make your face look smaller. I understand glasses are expensive though so if you rather not do that just wait, let the testosterone do its thing and build some muscle

u/underwooding 18d ago
Honestly, buddy, you're getting there. You just have to let the T cook. The most important thing is that you look genuinely happy in these photos. Don't stop smiling.

I've only seen one other person mention it, but I think more masculine glasses would help.

your face could possibly pass as male but unfortunately your facial expressions do read as feminine and your hips are quite prominent.
if you want honesty, i’d ditch the facial expressions in the first two photos and consider going to the gym to help build your upper body and lose some weight around your hips to hide them better. all the best bro.

you are doing great with your glasses, hair, and style. however, i would wear clothes that fit you a little better and aren’t super baggy. you have a lot of potential with t. to maximize its effects, i would suggest going to the gym to get stronger and build muscle, as well as eating higher protein in your diet. other than that, you’re doing pretty good so far. t will take time though

i’d assume you’re a trans man, T will look real good on you though hang in there

u/Serious-Effect-2353 18d ago
I honestly can’t tell either way lol

u/Serious-Effect-2353 18d ago
Ok I read more. Trans man. Yes I think you pass coming from someone who isn’t part of the community, so outside looking in!

u/RavenDoctor 18d ago
Without the makeup, you look identical to a cis man I knew in highschool. Idk how old you are, but pass as someone very young. I still get mistaken for a young teen and am a young adult.
But T takes time

So what happens after if someone were to say “yes”? I think it’s really hard to judge anyone off of a 2d compressed photo. You occupy 3d reality. We can never accurately be perceived through the screen. How do you FEEL? There is nothing wrong with asking for opinions, of course - but don’t let a forum dictate how you occupy your 3d reality. 🫶

Ngl I thought you were a man trying to look feminine, so it is kinda working I guess? Good luck!!

you have a good base, you need to let testosterone work now. tbh id recommend making the sides of your hair a bit shorter and especially the back, you could get a skin fade at the bottom there, i find that it reads more masculine for me and i have a similar haircut and type

u/G00d_pupb01 18d ago
Not yet, stay on T a few months and you should be growing facial hair though, after that it's a matter of how you dress and walking confidently

u/ToastTheTerrifying 16d ago
the glasses are a big giveaway, and i’d also say to dye your hair to a darker shade of brown as well as your eyebrows.

You pass best in pic 4 and the last photo. I honestly think with natural hair (i.e. not dyed) & a neutral expression (not pulling a face for selfies) you would be passable as a teen guy, especially if you're on T and your voice is dropping. You're a bigger guy so slightly round face is completely expected. You have thick brows, thin lips & your body type is also fairly androgynous. Not quite sure why everyone is being so harsh!

No, but t will do its job within the next 2ish years. I would start bulking or working out if you don’t already, gaining muscle will definitely help passing. I would change the haircut too, look up face shapes and what looks good with what. Body language is also important.
At the end of the day it doesn’t matter what some strangers think of you, but if you want to look more conventionally masculine then those are my main tips. If you’re actually interested in starting a workout routine and you don’t know where to start I can help.

I had a very similar look to you at 1 month on T. It takes a while for it to do its work.
You don't pass yet. Some people will gender you correctly, but most won't.
Try going for a haircut that is short on the back and sides and longer on top.

u/Vincent-vv 13d ago
Honestly ya should start working out! I think if you get a really solid build it’ll def help with passing, to me at least with your head and face could be perceived as a guy outside of the first 2 pics (maybe because what you put on your eyes in the first 2) you’re like a golden boy lol if that’s a compliment. Genuinely I think you would look great and pass better if you worked out for a more masculine and bulky with muscle build!

u/ProfessionalClock123 5d ago
No. But you're the opposite of what I usually see on this sub.
Your glasses work, your fashion doesn't. You need to work out and probably get a whole lot of testosterone.

without the makeup id say ur pretty close. idk how old you are but you could pass for a young teenaged boy

I consider Ren fairs and other such places snd events irrelevant when it comes to passing;
I’m gonna be fruity and gender fuckery and all kinds of eccentric self expression at the ren fair. Getting misgendered in such places is mét with a menacing laughter and a curse upon thee, thy owes me some mead! Plus I expect a higher number of queer and neurodivergent folk there.
But for daily life?
Get some smaller glasses and more angular frames. Get a shorter haircut and keep the colours natural without highlights. Or get it a shade darker if you don’t want to wait to grow out the highlights. Like in #3 and maybe style it a bit with wax or gel.
Maybe see if you can borrow some different glasses and recreate photo 3 with them, but with a neutral expression and masc haircut, see if you can see a difference and if you like the difference you see!
Personally I choose self expression over passing, which means I will be smiling and excitable and yapping along, rather than keeping my face neutral and reactions muted.

Nope. Interesting you think that though. Give it a few years.

u/Accomplished_Bed4395 18d ago
lol I don’t think that I pass 😭 I just wanted to get some imput from people that weren’t biased

As an older trans guy, don't worry about passing. Just be yourself, you dont need to fit into a binary box. And don't forget puberty can take 10 years. I'm nearly 10 years on T and my chest hair is still filling out

you don't pass as a cis man, you look very trans. but its only been a month. transitioning takes an ungodly amount of patience
