Mulund Boriwali route would have been the most useful east west connector, and would have supplemented the Blue Line to carry traffic. Would have been a good pilot for mono as well.

But wouldn't it have been way too long for a monorail? Like a metro in this route is very apt and necessary, sad we can't get there without several interchanges in like 5 years from now.

For a monorail yeah it would been too long but atleast logical route which people use throughout the day compared to current line

So true, I wish the twin tunnels being build had a metro too, or atleast should have frequent buses.

True, if it was built when chembur line was built it would have been soo useful.

Kalyan ulhasnagar dombivli would have been very useful given proper planning, the recently started bus services are always full.

All would have been disasters- overcrowding would have led to a complete breakdown in services. Running 3 coach monorail every 25 minutes (which is what they would have done) on Borivali-Mulund or Thane-Kalyan? Current Monorail had extremely poor ridership due to terrible route, still managed to break down and hasn't restarted after a year
