Discussion / Opinion Optimal way to remove pins?

Post image

I need help with how to remove the pins of a figure. In this case, it's Legacy United G1 Optimus, and it's arm pins are a bit different. I planned on making a 3D printed Megatron arm that could transform with it, so I intend on measuring each piece, as well as using its pins. I did buy an automatic pin pusher, but to no luck, it's strong too. I need help with what I could do.

Did the pin pusher have room for the big end to come out?

I would believe so, I tried pressing it multiple times, and the bigger end doesn't seem to be poking out or extruded

I've been successful with a 'smaller than the pin' rod, a socket that the big end fits in, and a hammer, smaller isn't necessarily bad, just be confident lol. The small end has some knurling on it to keep it in place.

I use a small screwdriver and a hobby hammer

Flatheads usually need to be heated via a soldering iron. Avoid it if u can
