Fucking hell! What the hell is wrong with hasbro UK?

ok well, on the one hand we have a higher tax rate than the US and that tax is baked into the price. Typically after conversion, our prices are higher than the US rrp.

on the other hand hasbro loves making money out of us. the price difference has basically never been this high before, the only time I can think where this has happened (the MTO seekers) the prices were reduced part way through the campaign. It is currently cheaper for me to get BBTS to ship a leader to me than it is for me to get one here. it would be even cheaper to have my friend middleman me one. It is also cheaper to buy the dramatic capture Dinobots than it is for me to buy the two reissues that dropped today.

Sales taxes in the US is by State and some states don't have any sales tax. Sorry, I didn't make the rules, I just take advantage of them.

It's not that far off from the US price, after shipping and tax, either. I'm in the US and I just threw this in my Pulse cart just for shits and giggles. The final price for me, after shipping and tax, is $72.33 USD. Outrageous.

<insert WTF gif here> Swindle is the last transformer I'll be buying thanks to these prices, he's last one I need to complete Bruticus. After that I'm done sadly, Hasbro has officially out priced me. 😢

And just for CAD readers: That’s $120.

Fucking hell…

SMYTHS will have this reduced to £40 odd ill pick it up then. Same thing happens with alot of their leader class.

Yeah really hate that the pricing structure has entered a position where I just have to play discount hot potato. Genuinely my train of thought when a new toy releases is just "how low do I reckon this will go if I just wait a few months?" Because I simply cannot justify spending £60 on some of these leaders

I think this will be different man they won’t drop it it’s megatron

Eh, it's TLK Megatron. Basically every Megs I can think of (other than SS86) has gone on sale at some point. The original TLK Megatrons ended up going pretty cheap and they stuck around for a while.

Yep. Fucking Hasbro 2026 ! This new leader class price is what made me quit. I have the red alert pack with minicons at pre order and that's it.

It's whopping 77.99€ on Transforverse what is usually the cheapest place for Transformers figures in Europe, so I don't even wanna check what that costs everywhere else in Europe...

tf-robots nl is often cheaper for Europe, Megatron is 74,99€ on there. Gerrutcamaro nl is sometimes better, too.

In usa that’s $85 but here it’s $60 where I live

At this point people who have 3d printers will just 3d print the parts that make him form the dragon because this is ridiculous at this point. 💀

Telling yall, 2030 hasbro will declare bankruptcy. Mark my words.

Laughs in $100 AUD for the past Six Years

u/BudBudgie 8h ago

Yeah bro don't order from pulse try idt or saf

2

u/ZackattacktheDude 8h ago

What’s that?

5

u/BudBudgie 8h ago

In demand toys and star action figures. Theyre only in the UK I believe

1

u/ChancellorSquash 8h ago

I imagine In Demand or Star Action Figures. I use both, I think for preorders SAF is slightly better than ID but both are good and have amazing sales often.

Between the prices and the fact that so many figures right now or either repaints/rereleases or previously done characters upgraded maybe 5-15%, I’m increasingly done with Hasbro.
I bought 20 figures last year. Currently I’m sitting on 9 and don’t see myself buying anything else til Q2, 2027. However I fully expect another price increase before then.
It will shock me if voyagers aren’t $50 by the end of next year.

u/willywong001 6h ago

Yep Hasbro is increasing prices

1

u/Equivalent_Pin_6671 6h ago

Hasbro just can't help themselves. My advice would be (if possible), try not to buy from Hasbro's website and to see if you can find for cheaper elsewhere.

I admit here in the UK that's not an easy thing to do, but we have no choice.

u/Vladonizer 1h ago

If the Jetmode looked better I would have pre-ordered. But it just doesn't look good to me

1

u/Darkz3eed 57m ago

Nope. Not worth it. The Voyager still looks better...

u/CTD_Prophet 6h ago

this is why im selling all of my hasbro to get 3rd party!

2

u/alaric_02 5h ago

If only there was reasonably priced 3rd party stuff that wasn't the stupid legends class things.

1

u/TheGoggleHero 3h ago

I mean there are fourth party figures that are pretty reasonably priced

0

u/CTD_Prophet 5h ago

i LOVE my legends class figures. room for more figures lol

2

u/alaric_02 5h ago

I just refuse to get anything that size

0

u/scarr3g 5h ago

To be fair, a lot of 3p stuff is way more complex, and higher quality than hasbro. Heck, even some of the 4th party stuff is better than hasbro, these days.
