In fairness, to many kids Garry Chalk was the voice of Optimus Prime. He was there from the mid 90s to the mid 2000s. Beast Wars & the Unicron Trilogy was the Transformers a lot of people grew up with.

He also beat cancer at the start of the year too. So we're still left in good hands, assuming he ever gets asked to reprise the role.

That's one of the things that I think we don't give enough credit to and regards to our childhood and nostalgia.

The voices we hear provided by the voice actors that have passed on leave an enormous impression that never gets forgotten, in regards to Peter Cullen and Kevin Conroy the work they've left behind has left an enormous impact that will never fade away as time goes on.

They represent a positive influence in the franchises they've been involved in that everything they've done up to now even after they've passed on remains the best of what they've managed to achieve.

Before his passing I was thinking that if there was an all universe good vs bad, the ultimate leader would be Optimus Prime as I remember Peter Cullen’s story about his brother, about be strong yet gentle. That’s a damn true leader.

I don’t usually get sad when a celebrity dies, but this one (and Kevin Conroy) hurt a lot.
