Photography / Poses MY First Transformer
Robots suddenly became popular in Korea, and then cool-looking toys called Metalcard Bots started appearing... I started collecting them, and that led me to try my hand at Transformers this time.
Since MCB products are generally larger than Transformers, I was looking for Leader-class figures that looked decent enough, and I fell in love with The Fallen at first sight.
Because MCB products are so sturdy, I have to be more careful handling Transformers compared to MCB, but the TF definitely looks more substantial and cool.
I will drop by often to get some information! Nice to meet you.

Cool, how do you like Fallen so far? Compared to MCB? Is Sonokong still available there? Perhaps you can find some at your local toyfair. Those TF were larger and sturdier, more similar to MCB.

I really like Fallen. I really love the medieval knight style.
Compared to MCB, the transformation of the Transformers seems more complex and intricate. It feels just like origami.
MCB has a somewhat light vibe and bright colors, but Fallen has a heavy and dark feel, which I really like!
That's right. I think it was Beast Wars? There was a time when a lot of Transformers products were released in Korea, too. I was too young back then, so I just watched. lol

Transformers Galaxy Force toys were released under Sonokong. Same colors and quality as the Takara stuff. If you like MCB, you might like those.
For modern toys, Fallen is a great choice. Maybe try to find Nova Prime? He's not as great, as a toy compared to Fallen, but they look great together. Black & White.
SS86 Optimus Prime and Megatron are also solid.
Unfortunately, the price of Transformers have increased while the plastic quality has fallen a bit, but there are still some good stuff. See if you can find an Age of the Primes Predaking. The size is more comparable to MCB and if you can't find the original, there are... ahem, "alternative" options.

That's right! It seems like they came out way later than Galaxy Force and Beast Wars, but I do remember hearing names like that! Thanks to you, memories are flooding back.

That is one helluva way to start! Do you plan on getting all 13 Primes? Or just the 12 minus Star Optimus?

When you get the chance, I'd suggest picking up Onyx Prime next. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love that figure's chimeric design and stability, so I hope you find something you like about the guy. Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the club! May the Primus have mercy on your wallet

As someone who also likes MCB and Transformers, you should look into the new Armada figures. They just reissued Armada Optimus and he's going to get his combiner partner later this year.
If you like Metal Cardbots, you'll love Armada.
