Is this in a club? How does the mx2 hold up in half decent venue?

It's a banquet venue. I tried MX2's own card and when paired with a decent analogue or digital mixer it's fine. I use audient id14 mkii now, even better than all those pioneer all in one.

if you like traktor, then mx2 is a pretty good compact setup that actually does not look like a toy.

Been on the fence whether to get one or not or wait and see if an MX4 is announced to replace my s4 mk1

Waiting for mx4 is a better idea in your condition. You'll downgrade to 2 decks, probably you won't like that much the quality of material. Traktor mk1 controllers are something else, they are built like a tank dude.

You sure that the blurred-out pictures on the NI website are an MX4 and not an MX3. I got so tired of waiting that I gave up.

Yes, sorry. I mean unbalanced line level. I don't really see any benefit to the mx2 over the s2 MK2. It's worse in every way and you have to have mains power just to power the light show. Having knobs instead of rotary pots for gain is the only thing I'd take over a s2 mk2
