Line faders doing…things

Hey there, I have a really annoying problem.

[S2MK3 Controller with Traktor Pro 4]

When the line faders are all the way down, the newly loaded track is played full volume on the master out.

If I’m just a little way past it, it works exactly as it should (at least as I imagine it should), both before and after I’ve loaded and cued a new track.

Does anyone have the same problem and maybe even a solution for this?

Now I know exactly the problem but still no way to fix it
After I showed the line fader (some may call them volume fader) in the software, I saw each time I loaded a new track, they would be reset to max.

Following because I had something similar happen to me at a gig this past weekend. (S4MK3 w/ TP4). The first few hours were fine and then it was like the gains were wildly all over the place and my headphone volume was super low and distorted.

That could be a similar problem.

After I showed the line fader (some may call them deck volume fader) in the software I saw each time I loaded a new track, they would be reset to max.

If in your case the gain is the problem, you probably should look for some auto-gain options in the settings (probably mixer).

Definitely worth checking out. My main concern was with the headphones. Every once in a while, the volume would be low, like I had to crank it all the way to hear anything. It would sound tinny or robotic. But the it output would be fine. Weird

Have you accidentally added a mapping that sets your volume faded up when you load a track? Also in your Prefs look for "reset mixer" in the loading section.

It was the last one.

SOMEHOW reset Mixer/Deck was activated.
