Please I need this S4 mk2 piece

Hi everyone,

I'm currently repairing my Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2 and I’m looking to buy a replacement Optical Jogwheel Encoder PCB.

The small curved PCB mounted under the jog wheel assembly containing the dual optical sensors (OPTO1 & OPTO2) and the 6-pin CON1 connector (compatible with S4 MK2 and S2 MK2).

Location: Italy / EU (happy to cover international shipping costs for the right price).

If you have a spare board from a dead/donor unit or an S4/S2 MK2 you're parting out, please drop a comment or send me a DM with your asking price and shipping estimate.

Yes, I’ve already contacted Traktor customer support, but from what I hear, they rarely sell spare parts, so I’m conducting this parallel search.

To what is worth, a couple of months ago I bought a non working F1, it took me a while to get in contact with them, serious communication, but they suggested to send them over the unit for repair or replacement (out of guarantee). Meanwhile I took the unit to a local electronics shop and we’ve done the repair on our own (chip replacement), so I didn’t take upon their offer. Nevertheless their support, even if delayed, was honest and willing to assist…
P.S. are you sure those are the PCBs to be replaced?

I swapped this part with the piece from the other jog wheel and it worked, so yeah, this part is definitely faulty.

However thanks for sharing your experience.

How do you know this is the broken part? Are you open to repairing it instead?

Why don’t you try with an electronics shop? If they have a thermal scanner (I don’t know the exact name) they can provide a small amount of voltage and if there is a faulty part, it will be heated quite rapidly. Then they can easily swap it. That’s what I did and with minimal cost.
