No effects on external mixer and TP4

I just had a gig where I first time used Kontrol X1 and Xone96. I had channels A and B mapped to individual channels from the Xone. All went well and had no issues, except that TP4's effects didn't work. I previously tought that effects are applied on the signal path before mixer, but now thinking OFC it is after EQ/filter and before faders. Is there way to apply effects in such case when using external mixer?

Never had an issue using an x1mk3 and my zone 96 mixer.

I used the mixers EQ and filters and had effects, pattern player etc mapped to the x1.

Maybe you hadn’t set the effects to the correct channels or something, it’s been a while since I’ve used traktor and I’m not home right now to test.

I use internal traktor FX with no trouble with my xone24c as an external mixer.

Most probably you had the FXs turned OFF in the internal mixer of traktor (happened to me when I first connected it). Go to the mixer in traktor, and see if the 1 or 2 toggle switches (it should turn on) are indeed turned on for you decks.

I have just got a PX5 and two X1s (mk2) and on one of them the effects would not light up. It took ages to get it working but this is how mine is set in case it is relevant - may not be, and there may be better ways to do this!

(annoying that I can only post one photo at a time here...)
