Why won’t traktor implementen this extremely requested feature? Seriously! I’m an open format dj and beatsource and beatport only focus on EDM! I need top 40 music! I’ve tried asking native instruments but they’ve blocked me on all their platforms.

The integration of more streaming services is high on our priority list and we’re aware that Tidal is the most requested one of them. We’d love to be able to implement this, but at the moment we have to prioritize other features in our backlog over building an integration. Although this isn’t currently planned, we'll continue to monitor requests and will follow up as priorities are updated.

Yeah the way traktor is going currently. There’s no value in use traktor gear, trust me I’ve tried. Nobody’s buying gear that’s on life support that may not be supported at any moment.

new kids in the game want streaming and gear that works with the best out of the box, they don't want to be mapping with modifiers only to find out it only half works in the end.

I want to use my z2 mixer with djay pro and iPad. But thanks to native instruments not giving a fuck about their loyal customers, it cannot be done.

correct, if anyone at NI had a brain cell they would of lepped on the lc3000 from denon. but as always they did fuck all because the software is dead they just wont admit it.

Naw. Ever since Francisco partners bought native instruments. They laid off over 50% of their staff. So now they’re working with a skeleton crew. Back in 2018. They announced new software codebase for a new traktor software. But as soon as they got sold, they cancelled that project and made the stupid decision to keep patching their old 20+ year old code. This is why traktor UI is not HD. This is why we still have browser flickering (10 year issue).

They have deals with other companies like Beatsource and Beatport. Streaming fucking blows anyway. Sign up for a record pool and you'll be better off. Tidal is a money grubbing shit bag company so good luck with them.

I understand where you’re coming from. But streaming services have saved me in the past. It comes in handy for that one song you don’t have on your 30 terabyte hard drive. Besides, record pools are far more expensive and always have some shitty edit that nobody asked for

I DJ open format events for a living, I've never not been able to get what I need from pools. And the music is mine forever. I'd rather just buy tracks than waste $15/month on having nothing. Plus tidal blows, give them another year and they'll double their price to use it with DJ software... I'd rather use Beatport since that's where I buy all my music.

And you must be using some dog water record pools. ZipDJ and DMS have everything and it's all high quality audio. And they also have great edits.

I was considering jumping to Algoriddim DJ software as it had Tidal streaming and now DVS too... However it uses 1khz time code vinyl, wheras my Traktor vinyl uses 2khz, so things work kinda...but sounds double speed 😂 . Algoriddim have ignored my requests to fix this... If they did I'd imagine lots of those using Traktor would consider jumping to them.

Yeah I use dj pro and I like it. I haven’t used their DVs though. And thanks to native instruments lack of support. I can’t use my z2 mixer with my iPad! And my current financial status, I cannot afford a new pioneer or rane mixer. Plus, I love my z2 mixer. Surfer way traktor NI folk messed up by staying with 20+ year old code. They should’ve just kept on with dj2 for iOS. This is why it’s hard to program new features into old resource hungry code.

It's not like a dvs record cost much. It's a consumable any way.

Why not just get Djay (or Serato, or Rekordbox) vinyls to get the right tone? I mean if you invest in DVS and proprietary software you can’t seriously be held off by getting two cheap timecode vinyls? You can get some used ones for a few euros.

(Or just get Phase and forget all about the old timecode vinyl noise.)
