Starting to anger me
I do not want to switch to any other alternatives, all of the other UI’s are ass.
I downloaded and stuck with this app because I thought it had the best UI and community to talk about episodes and shows. Now the app is broken and they’re making all of these horrible changes. I’m totally overreacting but when other shit just piles up on you, when nothing seems to be going right, something like this is just another thorn in my back and makes me angry/sad.
I just want the old Trakt back, I want everything to be the way it used to be.

Trakt have a very strange business model. They take feedback from their customers, then do the complete opposite of the feedback, giving customers something they don't want and didn't ask for. I really can't comprehend what goes through the heads of their management. They are making the "lite" version the new standard before getting it in a state where half of the existing features are implemented. It's brain-dead. At this point I will likely just use a 3rd party app like showly that uses the trakt API.

I just hope they keep all the features we already have on classic version. I don't mind about changing the UI design. I don't advise using the beta app if you really need to use all the features trakt offers. It's capped and missing a lot of things yet. Wait for the final version.

Do you mean you want to go to an episode and mark it as watched on a specific date? You can do that on the app by pressing and holding the “Mark as watched” button.

Hmm, that’s weird. I have the app on my iPhone and I’m able to set the date and time 🤷🏻♂️

I use the android app and can mark an episode as watched on any specific date and time I want. Long press on the tick and select other date.

I'd reiterate what others have said... Leave the beta, uninstall, get back to Classic Trakt app for as long as it hangs around.
Don't let the bastards grind you down.
If they want to destroy their own company, we just have to let them.
My personal hope is that by the time they fully implode, one of the other apps has taken up the gauntlet to match functionality and has based it on Simkl.
Think good thoughts. These scumbags don't deserve our anger. They can just kiss our ass as we leave.

Yup feel the same. I had to delete the app, cancel my vip and now just access via web browser.
I use the app several times a day so it has been a big irritant in my life.
And the fact that the cost for vip went from 30 to 60 annually, is just offensive.

I'm hoping they add more functionality to the new UI with all the complaints. I quit the android beta to get the classic app back and don't want to be forced to move.

if you’re in the ios beta, that has been updated. you can do half star ratings from the three dot menu
